In this position, you may vary the resistance level, starting from the minimum and going up to the maximum you can tolerate. The resistance can be adjusted to such a level that your legs feel the pressure.

Make it a point that you never spin your legs without ant resistance.

Position 2:

You need to raise your hips off the seat of your bike and align your back. It is very similar to running. The resistance needs to be really high so that your legs don’t spin uncontrollably.

Do not rest your weight on the arms. It can hurt the arms. Concentrate on calming your shoulders and let your legs take all the pressure.

Position 3:

This position is often referred to as the climb. Continue to sit in the first position and start spinning your legs.

Now, increase your resistance level till your legs start to slow down a little. Raise your hips off the seat of the bike and move your hands to position 3 at the same time. Concentrate on relaxing your arms and shoulders.
